Racor Spin-On Series Replacement Filter Cartridge:
Racor replacement spin-on cartridges come in different lengths and diameters to accommodate various flow rates.
The smaller the micron rating, the finer the filtration. If there is no additional downstream filtration, a filter rating of 2–30 microns should be considered. Filter ratings of 10 and 30 microns are suitable for pre-filtration because they can protect downstream or engine-mounted filters. Ultimately, the preferred micron rating will depend on fuel quality, operating environment, and maintenance schedule. Contaminants in fuel, such as dirt, sludge, or water, will always enter your fuel system. Each time you pull the fuel dispensing trigger, it can threaten the lifespan of your engine. No matter how carefully fuel is handled or stored, dirt, rust, gums, algae, and water inevitably find their way into the fuel. Using a Racor fuel filter/water separator with Aquabloc® media can remove harmful water and solids, allowing your engine to operate at higher power and efficiency. By installing a Racor head and screwing in the Racor fuel filter/water separator, you can provide protection.
