Racor Spin-On Series Replacement Cartridges:
Racor replacement spin-on cartridges come in different lengths and diameters to accommodate various flow rates. The mesh is color-coded: "light brown" indicates 5 microns, "light blue" indicates 10 microns, and "dark red" indicates 30 microns. The smaller the micron rating, the finer the filtration. Without additional downstream filtration, consider using the 5-micron rating. The 10- and 30-micron filters are suitable for pre-filtration, protecting downstream or engine-mounted filters. Ultimately, the preferred micron rating will be determined by fuel quality, operating environment, and maintenance schedule.

Racor fuel filters/water separators using Aquabloc™ media remove harmful water and solids, allowing engines to run at higher power and efficiency. Installing a Racor head and spin-on fuel filter/water separator protects the longevity of your engine.
How It Works:
Racor spin-on series filters using Aquabloc™ media effectively remove dirt and water from diesel and gasoline fuels. The Aquabloc™ media is pleated and corrugated, designed to provide excellent water separation and extended service life. Fuel flows downward through the vertical pleats of the media, causing larger water droplets and contaminants to drop directly into the collection bowl. Smaller water droplets accumulate on the treated media surface until they are large enough to drip into the collection bowl. Larger contaminants remain on the media surface, while smaller particles are trapped deeper within the media layers. This results in drier, cleaner fuel for your marine engine.

These fuel filters/water separators are designed for high-performance applications, providing cleaner, water-free fuel for improved marine engine performance. The filter housing features a durable powder-coat finish applied electrostatically for excellent corrosion resistance. The spin-on design is easy to maintain, and the reusable transparent engineering plastic or metal collection bowl comes with either a self-venting drain or metal plug to remove harmful sludge and water.

How to Select the Correct Cartridge:
1. Identify the Racor series that matches your filter.
2. Choose the micron rating of Aquabloc™ media. For primary applications, 10- and 30-micron cartridges are recommended; for secondary and final filtration, 5-micron is suggested.
3. Alternatively, selection can be made based on height and diameter in any order.
